New 576at never seen wood. I made a trade with a member on here for this saw back in the spring. He had bought 2 new ones and only used one so this one was new. I idled a tank of 40:1 fuel through it and put it in a case. I hurt my back this summer and still have not recovered. Looks like my firewood cutting will be very limited and i still have a couple smaller saws. Includes new 24" bar and chain. I would like $775 plus shipping with new 24" bar and chain. I also have used a 28" husqvarna bar and chain the i could add for more $ or subsitute in place of 24" bar and chain.

Wow, screaming good price. I have interest in the 28" Bar...

just giving the ringsba chance to seal......not necessary. i just like to do that. I may be interested in selling the 28" separate if i sell the 576 first.

The 24" is 3/8 .058 and the 28" is 3/8 .050 the 28" was on my ported 2100 but i sold it. has a few tanks on that bar. i could do $840 plus shipping for 576at with the 24" it came with and the used 28" and chain for it. Here is a pic of the used 28"

I'd be interested in the 28" too, if it shakes out to be available separately and tpope doesn't go for it.

Why Idle a tank?

I agree, the manual says to run auto tunes WOT for at least 10 min with the bar buried making bucking cuts for the computer to do it's thing. I have had 3 new auto tunes and did the prescribed break in on every one.

i have had several autotunes and had trouble with only one. A 550 that i followed the manual break in....resulted in a broke ring on rhe second tank. Therefore all my saws will be broke in gently from now on. All racemotors today are broke in gently with a special break in oil on the dyno.....there is a reason for it. It allows better ring seal and break in.

Huge difference between breaking in gently on a dyno versus letting idle for a tank. May not matter for a chainsaw, but not the way I would do it. Just saying......

And if the ring broke on the 550 breaking it in per mfg. recommendation, it was likely going to break no matter how you broke it in.

Sorry for the derail......

wontnrely debate this anymore...i hav fooled with race motors for twenty years. Former regional national truck pulling champion. Rings like break in period. Steve Schmidt builds my motors now. One of the top engine builders in the world. Rings like break in. My saws will be broke in this way no matter what anyone types bottom line.

Why Idle a tank?

Pretty good price I bought mine new pho $765
l am looking for one of these saws and most of the add sounded great untill the 'l idled a tank of gas through it' bit. When l am breaking in a saw l like plenty of load and WOT use. You only get one go at it unless you rebuild and l just don't get this easy break in crap.....pressure and lots of it is what is needed. Arrrrhhh!!

TTT

Sorry for the derail, Very nice looking saw. Good luck with the sale.:chainsaw:

Ken Jax Tree: On my 550 and 562 i just used them as i would any saw for the first time i didn't do anything special.

I do the same thing only never put any excess strain on an engine. But after a number of fuelings really "start to let the line out" as they say. I also do not agree taking a new engine to WOT for 10 minutes. That just seems a bit harsh IMO. Husqvarna is the only company that recommends this that I know. ??? And I have Huskies that I'm thrilled with in the AT lineup.

I have had several people ask about bars so I will sell the saw PHO for $690.00 plus shipping.

I just cut up some small logs as my break in and then took it to the forest ... I do recall asking a few dealers about break in ... they informed me to take it easy in the start till I felt comfortable and then go for gold .... since when does anyone read a manual lol

Price reduced to $675.00 PHO plus shipping. Will sell with new 24" bar and chain the saw came with or used 28" bar and chain for $750.00 plus shipping. Will sell with both bars and chains with saw for $800.00 plus shipping.
