So is there a better Oregon model out there or even a better bar in general? I am probably looking to buy from baileys if that narrows down the choices.

It depends if they are orange poulans or true Huskies, give use some numbers off of
the bar in question, and we can tell you who made it, and who/what is the equal.

I am currently developing a husky bar using my maglev technology, but the cheap
Electrolux plastic gets too brittle when the liquid nitrogen is added, and the oil tank
cracks. The synthetic oil/amsoil mix helps, by when the mystery oil is dripped in,
the mix becomes too heated, obviously from miracle related litigation, and the cheap electrolux oil tanks just cracks.
But I digress.................................

Seriously, post the old bar's numbers. The maker is still likely owned by Oregon anyway.

The blade that comes stock with the saw is not Oregon for sure, they are made in Swden, you can look close to studs slots, and youll see Made in Sweden.

The bars that came on my huskies are Oregon PowerMatch bars, no question. I also have some laminated Husky bars, but I have nothing to compare them against to know who's they might be.
They all say "Made in Canada" though, no mention of Sweden ;)

Here when we receive a new Husqui ,they came with a"husqvarna" bar ,at least written on it,and thats for sure.We have to pay a surcharge when we ask to receive Oregon bar on new saw from distributor here in Quebec.

That`s just weird given that our US Husky bars do say "Made in Canada" on them and they are Oregons.

I have a few older Husky bars stating "Made in Sweden" on them. They seem pretty good, how do your`s compare?

What I have reason to believe is that at the moment (and the last years),
Huskys laminated bars are made by E-lux (Em) at the old JO-BU plant in Norway, at least for the European market. In North America they are usually rebadged Oregons. I would not be surpriced if there are exceptions from time to time, though. I also have reason to believe that the blue print is darkest on the Oregon made bars.
Solid bars, with or without replaceable sprocket tips, are rebadged Oregons all over.

Jonsered bars are the same story.

Probably Oregon Pro-Lite and/or Micro-lite Pro.

The "husqvarna"blade are POS compared to Oregon. The nose opens very, very easily, thats the main concern.Part # on those blades are like 5089 121 64 from 353 or others .

Got a 15" Husky bar its an EM made in Canada the paint is wearing off very quickly only used it 5-6 times. Also have a 20" bar again EM made in Canada used that loads and apart from some wear along the bottom all the paints still there.

Just received a new Jonsered 2159 and it came with a Oregon power match plus bar! I called the dealer and he said that both Husqvarna and Jonsered are imported into the country without bars to save weight then get there bars installed here. He said since Husqvarna is the more popular of the two that electrolux has husky bars painted with there name but leaves the bars on the Jonsered with the Oregon logo. Possibly this is just something that happened in the last couple of years.
