A few cc's under is okay, just don't want a pile of homeowner saws. Already have a 025, 230c and 290 stihl saws, that I don't use often, but won't get rid of either.
Kinda both. I do gravitate towards the iconic models. I do like learning the history and power races between manufacturers.
Forefathers I would be interested in as well if I knew the history behind them. I generally like decent examples that are runners. No shelf queens here, they all get used from time to time.

Then yes you need 266XP because it is an iconic model Stihl could not compete with till they invented the 044.
the 290 was my first "real saw" I bought at 18 back in 2003. My dad and I went halves on it as I was tired of messing around with old macs and homelites trying to get them to run long enough to cut wood. He's gone now unfortunately.

Got it 2 days ago 500 delivered it was running but I now have no spark after I broke and replaced the pull cord so gotta go through and look if coils bad or I may have knocked a wire free just been lazy today

Shame really- I mean what Husqvarna collection can be considered complete if it did not have an example of the mighty Husqvarna 45!
Even though it’s not a 70 cc but a 262xp is definitely needed in a collection as well.
