husky saw question

whell today i picked up a saw for my dad. a husky 257. how good of a saw is it. it has a 20" on it and starts on the 3rd pull. i couldn't pass it up cause i got a screaming deal on it. 60 bucks. i guess the guy didn't know what he had. so do you guys think that s a good deal for that saw.

Today's 357xp is the old 257. Chainsawworld can tell you alot more about that that than I can.

the 257 started out sitting on the 262 chassis in an attempt to de-tune the 262. what they found was a 3.5 powerhouse. i find they cut and proform very well. my guys will pick up the 257(when the 357 in not being used)over the 034. if you ever wish to sell the saw i will double your money.LOL. they still bring a good dollar if you can find a dealer that still has any left. good luck with your good find. marty
