husky saw's in south carolina?

is there a husky factory in south carolina? there used to be a guy on ebay that would list a bunch of saw's at one time and say they werew bought at the husky factory at a scratch and dent sale. they just had small cosmetic flaw's. recently i've seen a bunch of new saw's for sale out of south carolina. any idea's on this? is any one local to the plant? why can't we set up an AS pipeline for husky saw's? i smell ROAD TRIP.

i did a brief search through the state economic development board, and can't find it right now... i did find a plant in Charlotte NC (it said Husky is owned by Electrolux now???)... could be they have some industry spilled over into SC as Charlotte is close to the NC/SC line...

when i get home next week, i can make some calls & get more detailed information if you'd like... love to have y'all come down for a road trip!!!

anyway, let me know if you want me to get details...

see-- a simple social worker can learn all kinds of things here... i also discovered the sewing machines they make... there's another Swiss line i prefer, but nice to learn something new!!!

thanks, any info would be help full. we really need someone local for this though. i live near woodbury commons which is a big shopping outlet center, and the trick to shopping outlets is you must go on a regular basis. since it is very hit or miss. sometimes there are great deals, other times nothing.

the road trip idea was kind of a joke since i could miss the next shipment by a day.

some of our local industries do have the slightly-damaged sales on site at the plants... i'll call some people who know who makes what in the state-- see where it is... just in case it's in my back yard... LOL

Husky USA is headquartered in Charlotte, but I don't believe they have a plant there, but I could be wrong. Regardless, being very close to SC someone may have access to their distribution channel for overstock type stuff or something.
