Needed some advice on carb settings for a Husqvarna 136. It is a Walbro WT540 carb.

The current "H" is at 2 1/8 turns open, and the "L" is at 2 turns open.

What have you discovered is a good starting point and ending point when you have tuned yours?

Info I have is both H & L one & quarter turns open from lightly seated , default pre start setting

Put the L at about 2.5 turns out and the H at 2. When running it, back the H out until it cleans up and then keep going until it starts getting rich again. Then go back and fine tune the L.

Thanks for all of your input.
I'll follow your advice chainsaw jim. That overall process is how I usually go about setting them up... I just needed general parameters to start out. Didn't want to run it dramatically lean to start with.
I'm guessing it was set pretty accurately by the previous user/owner. Nice to know.
It runs very strong on a squirt of pre-mix... just waitin on a carb kit.
