I just scored a Model 2100 Husqvarna off ebay, well I got a great looking thin ring piston/cylinder with a large hunk of metal bolted to it. I am looking for an entire saw minus the cylinder asm. Can anyone tell me why the "thin ring" is so sought after? Why is this design any better than others. I have a couple of 2100CD pistons, which have rings that are much thicker. I would think the thicker rings would preform better, or maybe not?
