I bought this a s a non runner, and wanted the challenge of fixing it. It's a 281xp crankcase with a OEM 288xp cylinder. Cylinder looked very good, piston looked worn, so I installed a Meteor piston and rebuilt the carb. Kill switch doesn't work, and the high idle position on the handle doesn't seem to hold. Note the damage to the clutch cover, chain brake works. It has one of those green foam stax air filters. 541 482 7739IMG_4060.jpegIMG_4062.jpegIMG_4063.jpegIMG_4064.jpegIMG_4052.jpeg So, that and the high compression make it challenging for an old guy to start. Restarts nicely. I don't have a bar for it, have not cut with it. Compression feels very good. You would be wise to do a vac and compression test on it before you use itIMG_4059.jpegIMG_4061.jpeg

Update on the 288..... It's not so hard to start, and if I were a real man, I would keep it. Started on the 2nd pull today ( cold start). I still think fixing the high idea position dealie would help, but Im on to other projects now, ( Not my problem )
