How much would a husqvarna 394 be worth in good shape
I know nothing of saw history and I am learning more and more on working on them300.00 - 700.00
Mostly depending on your knowledge of both the history of the saw and your knowledge of saw mechanics.
The 394 and 395 share something like 90% common parts, really its just the cylinder intake and a few other bits that are different.Unsupported saw.....get what you can get. Converting it to a "395" isn't really what collectors should do. But it's your saw.
To me, the Jonsered 2094 is more interesting.......close to the 394, but not the same.

Crankshaft is different also. The 394 and 395 share something like 90% common parts, really its just the cylinder intake and a few other bits that are different.
Right....if I was buying a 394 in today's market, I'd want a 394. The only reason to have an old 394 is if you're sentimental, a collector, it was given to you, or you got a swinging deal on it. Otherwise, just buy a 395 and quit converting all the available 394's.Crankshaft is different also.
I paid 300.00 for mine, it runs strong. I needed a intake to carb box divider, and I added a brake flag clutch cover.
During the 394 run they actually had a low top and a high top. Look at the pic in Post#10 and compare to the saw in the video of Post#12.Still like the low top of the 394 vs the 395
Interesting. Id like to convert my 395 to low top.During the 394 run they actually had a low top and a high top. Look at the pic in Post#10 and compare to the saw in the video of Post#12.
