Picked one up to work on just up the road from me.

Fitted with a 36" Bar, and 3/8 Square Chain.

It was used on a Mill.

Complaint was it wouldnt start, had been sitting for 8 months.

I checked spark, good hot snappy spark.

Check fuel at the carb, and it had fuel at the carb. But when choked, would not pump fuel.

So I took a shot, dropped a teaspoon of fuel down the carb and gave it a few pulls and it sputtered to life, and I choked it a few times. it ran fine. Let it sit for an hour and it cranked on the first pull.

What a freakin saw...heavy as all get out, lots of torque, VERY LOUD.

He paid $800 Brand New, with NEW 36" bar, and 3 NEW chain loops. Cant beat that!:jawdrop:

Meh, Id never buy one. I was glad to get it back to him.

His collection included a Big Old Poulan, A Pro Mac 610, and a Smaller Husky.

He openly admitted the 395XP was the best for Milling, but that he looks to the Poulan and Mac for felling trees, and he stated "The small Husky is a pile of ----."

He had a 22" bar on the Pro Mac, and at least a 26" bar on the Poulan, 16" on the small Husky.

He told me I missed out..he tossed a Husky 55 and a Stihl 044 in the trash last month, along with a few other goodies. Said the O44 had a busted Brake, and needed a bar/chain. And that the 55 had some nasty gas and woudnt start.

He told me when he was done with the Mac, Poulan and Husky, they were mine...

I just dont have any use for a 94cc saw with a 3 foot bar...:(

Dayumm he's pitching 044's because of a broken brake band, 15 minute job. You need to get in tight with that guy, he's tossing easy to fix saws....

Red did you think that saw was heavy??

With the 36" bar, I was barely able to 1 hand carry it...Not balanced at all.

With a 24" Bar, Id bet it would be nice though.

Felt like 25lbs with bar and chain.

He says he never thought that anyone would be interested in his broken or used stuff.

He said he chucked a Polaris ATV when he replaced it with a New Honda. He said he took the oil and gas out, put it in his pickup, and took it to the Landfill.

He said it worked fine, but his Wife didnt want it sitting around...:dizzy:

He is somewhat Eccentric, and replaces stuff when he tires of it...

He gave me a Nice TroyBilt Tiller. 5hp Briggs, Ran fine, started it up, and it pulled itself onto my trailor. He bought a new one, and was going to take it to the landfill..:(

25 pounds, that all, well shoot. Back when I was a young man (yesterday) 25lbs was nothing for all this mass of corn fed muscle I gots. Now that I'm a old man (today) I guess 25 lbs would seem to me more like 26 to me when I was a young man (yesterday) lolol.

Now Red if you can figure what I'm saying there your on your way to a fine art I have perfected when selling saws....
