I had one here for a while and it was fine in cool/cold weather and pretty decent running little saw. It was IMPOSSIBLE to use it in the summer months if it was over about 80 degrees outside. Once fully warmed up and heat soaked it started all that same ****. I tore it completely down only to find nothing wrong with it anyplace so I sent it on down the road. To this day I think it was heat/fuel related as I was using E-10 gas in it and a couple of my other saws were a little tough to restart on really hot days if I re-fueled after running them really hard......but none of those started running like crap on hot days, just restart issues.

I cured those issues by simply taking more saws with me and just grabbing another one when they ran empty vs going thru all the "drama" to get them started again after refueling and "touching up" the chain. I did find that if I moved quickly and filled the tank and fired them right back up things were fine. So for sure ALL of the problems had something to do with this new piss-water fuel and really hot weather..........FWIW........

I have a Husky 40 (pretty old saw) that started that no go hot start stuff. It was the coil, dealer (many years ago) told me saw was worthless and couldn’t get a coil for it throw it away and buy a new one. Came home and looked at the schematic which came with the saw and got the coil part#, ordered it and installed and it’s been running ever since.

PS I haven’t patronized that dealer since :)
