First off, I wanted to say hello and thank you. This site is full of useful information and I have already learned a lot. Now to the question, I am looking for a carburetor for my Husqvarna 480 CD. I need a new carb because there is lots of play between the throttle shaft and carb body, causing a major air leak. The case held pressure and vacuum so I know that's not the issue. The factory carb is a Tillotson HS-205A. I found a couple new ones online for around $70 but I thought I would check here first to see if anyone had a used one they would be willing to sell. Has anyone put a different carb on this saw? I figured there may be other carbs out there that would work just as well if not better. If anyone has had success with a different carb please let me know. Should just dish out the 70 clams and go on with life? I know, I know this thread is worthless without pics so here you go.
Thanks again,
Ryan
The bucking spike and muffler cover are off the saw because I need new bolts for the spike and have to braze the muffler cover to fix a crack.
