I've lost interest in the build and figure someone else might be interested. I pulled the jug to confirm it is a 45mm closed port cylinder. Piston was a bit scored but ring came out easily. Jug cleaned up well. I replaced the ring with a 45mm Husky 51 ring and tested compression at 155 psi. Pressure & vacuum test held both 5 psi with the jug on and decomp button in place. Crankcase, tank, clutch cover, starter cover, and handlebar are in real nice shape... Probably a low hour saw. Saw came without a top cover so I'll throw a faded one in with the deal. I also have a 16" .325/.058 66DL Oregon bar that goes with the saw.
The bad:
1. One of the top cover plate nuts is missing (503226201). I think a previous owner may have overtightened and snapped a bit of the case off. Still useable with a new nut. Just be careful taking the top cover on/off.
2. Missing air filter & bolt
3. Missing exhaust gasket, one muffler bolt & one nut.
4. Muffler halves were separated and muffler will need some light hammer persuasion and/or brazing... Half the work is done if you wanted to do a MM.
If you're interested, shoot me a PM and I can send some pictures. $150 shipped lower 48
