i have a flywheel for a husqvarna 576 and i was wanting to make it autotune. the only thing is i dont know if my flywheel will work the part number on the back of my flywheel is 537 2096 3, and the thing is that on all the ipl's i look at the autotune uses the 537 2096 2. and the non AT uses the 537 2096 1. can anyone help me or maybe have a pic of what i should be looking for, thanks again in advance.

Most likely the AutoTune has magnets INSIDE the flywheel too. Pop your flywheel off and see if it has magnets inside to run the generator that runs the A/T system stator that is

I have mine off. I wish I had a known autotune flywheel to compare it to

Mine doesn't have any magnets that I can see on the inside. but I also don't know how these work.

Well the magnets move around the stator and the alternating N & S poles of the magnets makes electricity. If you don't have a ring of small magnets inside the flywheel...it won't work. Look inside any lawnmower flywheel with a charging system, exactly the same but bigger. The external magnets you see, they run the magneto / coil style ignition system only.

I'd find any post a picture but this site is a royal PITA to load on my computer...so I only view on my phone.

You probably know more than I do. I'm starting to wonder how accurate the Ipl's are. I actually have a flywheel now that is stamped 537 2096 2. But I can't see any difference with the 537 2096 3. Nothing special that I can see. No obvious extra magnets. And I can't find a point other than the obvious that's magnetic.

I'm starting to wonder how husqvarna stamps their parts.

I only ever load photos from my phone, it takes too long to transfer them to my computer. I just snap and post, or pick from my gallery.

It's weird when one of your old posts helps you out, found a random flywheel in a box of parts. I didn't know what it went to, when I looked it up this post was at the top lol. Weird.

Also incase anyone comes across this post in the future a 576 autotune flywheel does have magnets on the inside with a stator like a heated handle setup.
