Bought a secondhand Husqvarna 61 running great cutting well. The chain seems very dry,so I turned the oil pump up to 4 still seems dry to me.The bar on the saw is an 18inch Oregan. It has Oregan SM 188XXXDOO9 stamped on it,was wondering if this is the right bar or does anyone know whats wrong?

Check if the threads on the plastic gear first, also if the metal gear is turning freely also.If Ok,remove the oil pump and check the screen at the end of the oil tube.Clean it and the hose. You could clean the oil pump by removing the E clip on the black plastic adjuster, remove the shaft and blow air in the oil passage.Oh,check also if the SMALL screw holding the metal gear is still there.Your blade number could be 188RNDD009 or 188SLHD009.If you got one with XXX,check if the blade hole match the cranckcase hole.

Tried all that still no good, there is oil cumming down fron the botton of the saw when reved.

This may be obvious to you, but are you sure that the oil holes and the groove in the bar are clean, and not filled with dirt/debris?
