Hello Im working on a 266XP, The old carburetor throttle shaft/bore was wore out and had a fair amount of wobble in it, When I sprayed directly on the throttle shaft (Either side) it would instantly kill the engine, So I figured I would try one of those New Chinese replacement carburetors... Put the new chinese one on, started up fine... Sprayed brake clean directly on the throttle shaft and Instantly killed it AGAIN! With the new carb and a tight throttle shaft bore!! Is this common to have this happen on all of them if you spray directly on the ends of the throttle shaft? I wasnt expecting the world out of the cheap Chinese carb but with a tight throttle shaft you think it wouldnt leak? Maybe this happens to all of them if you spray directly on the ends of the shaft??? (Anyone try this with a brand new OEM Tillotson??)... I highly doubt the air leak is coming from the intake block or a bad gasket because they are all new.... Any pointers would be great, Thank you much!

Tested a few other saws that i have including a like new jonsered 2255. When spraying the ends of the throttle shaft it was killing the engine on them......? That jonsered has maybe 5 or 6 hours on it. So im baffled... Id like to get other peoples opinions on this... seems like this may be common on saws even with a new carb. thank you much.

Yep original was the 224A - Chinese one seems to run alright... just was worried about the throttle shaft issue.... thanks for that manual. Never had seen that manual before. Good info in it. Thanks again.
