So I traded my 395 for a 660 today. 395 about 10 months old. The 660 is new only had 3 tanks ran through it. Traded my friend. But I ran it today. 6 tanks and it cuts slower than the 395. But feels a tad bit lighter. Did I screw up by trading? Don't know much about a stihl

This kinda sounds like you are just trying to stir a Stihl vs. Husqvarna pot ;)

Assuming this is a sincere question... Why did you make the trade? (why did your buddy make the trade?) Sounds a little bit like you are a "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" kind of person??? I think those are both great saws. Be happy with what you have, know it is a great saw and don't look back!!! (I'd give the same answer if you traded a 660 for a 395 too)

You shoulda just pulled down your pants and bent over in front of your buddy. Woulda ended with the same outcome, you taking it in the rear.

People just don't get it as the 660 is still on the shelves but buying a new ms660 is like going back 30 years and buying a saw. The 395 has technology and design from this millennium!! I am more a Stihl guy than Husky and l think the deal the OP did was a bad deal. The only thing that the 660 has over a 395 is resale value and build quality. Them 660's are one tough saw but rough as guts to use all day.

I would have taken that trade . I'll go for reliable over speed a tech . The 660 is a proven mule . Send it to mastermind and have him stuff a banana or 2 in it . Just a warning if you do dig your heals in the dirt so it doesn't pull you over . I wasn't overly impressed with a 660 and would have sent it on it's way till I got mine back from MM . Now to get if from me you would have to pry it out of my cold dead hands

Oh boy oh boy lol. Hushavaginas are not a bad saw at all but the dealers in my area are.. But if stihl didn't exist I guess I would have one . But then that would ruin the fun I have making fun of my friends when parts fall off . Granted parts break on mine also but they will never know [emoji6][emoji6]I'm the one they come to when there saw breaks . And they will all wait 1-2 weeks to get parts

Damn straight! No way would a 395 be leaving my "little" collection if i had one. And yes if you are asking, i do want one. ;)

I do like the 660 (my boss pays me to say that) but the one i use at work many days a week leaves me feeling like i have been hit by a bus after a full day logging big hardwood. AV just doesn't cut it compared to 372xp or 395 or even my Dolkita 7900. Maybe the MS661 will make me change my opinion. Gonna have to wait until 2020 before we get it here though!

Used a 395, didn't like it so bought a ported 660, it used too much fuel and tingled my hands so sold it and bought a ported 390, little things about it annoyed me so sold it and bought a ported 661 and that ain't going nowhere, ever
