I have had a Husqvarna 525PT5S pole saw on order at the local dealer for a while. Apparently, there are none in stock anywhere. The dealer suggested a RedMax PSTZ260S, as there are many in stock, somewhere. Online, I compared the manuals of the two. They seem identical, except for the recommended maximum speed for the Husky is 11,000-12,000 rpm, and the RedMax is 9500 rpm. They both have the same spark plug, but the Husky says the electrode gap should be .02 in., while RedMax says .03 inches.
Does anyone have an explanation for these differences?
Will I be ok if I get the RedMax? (I cannot find anything about them online.)
