I can finally start to be able to get back in the woods with my mill and hit a few logs. I have a monster red oak up-rooted out there that is just waiting for me to make it my first victim. I can't wait to be able to post some things in here again with some pics. I have the mills all ready, the chains are sharpened, the saws are tuned, lets do this thing! It's hard to post when you haven't done any milling in quite awhile, haven't even had time to work in the wood shop. I just got a good raise at work that will allow me more time at home:msp_thumbsup:.

Jim, I know it's April and all but don't you still have some permafrost up there? Last week I was thinking of using some of last January's icicles for mill weights.:D:

We should lose the frost by mid September. It's a little sloppy here right now, but I can get a wheeler out there all right. This winter has been the busiest I have ever had. There was a ton of OT at work because we have been short handed and of course the BIL's house, my end of the deal is almost done and then the rest is up to him, he's lucky to have a BIL who can wire, plumb and put in his heating system free of charge.

jimdad07, I know the feeling! I have been busy drywalling house I'm building and was burning out on it. Friday i said ENOUGH and went to my sawmill to work up some logs for porch wood. Don't need them right now but what a great break from drywall. Had a big smile on my face all day.
