Loggers usually love to get bored. Boring means everything is going as planned, the cash keeps flowing in and everyone is staying alive. There is no need to look for adventure. It'll come before long.

A guy telling here he has a pair of new boots doesn't look very exciting. But the others will know he's still alive.

Guy that works next door sent his junk ,( i would have tossed them ) whites boots in for a rebuild ,they just kep part of the top of his old ones and put all new parts in them for like half of what new ones would be ,good company right there ,they recolored the reused parts also ,so boots were part broke in . Me i just get a new set ,if the souls are that wore out ,the insides are getting there also ,but these Danners ,have the best insides for durabuility for lined boots ,i normally run unlined ,but these are not too hot really so far .

Hoffman's Kellog Idaho, Don't care who's boots they are they'll fix em up.

My viberg hoffs are going on 3 years with the new sole, tops are starting to come undone now...

I've had boots rebuilt several times, Hoffman has done the best job yet, most places just nail on a new tread, but Hoffman rebuilt the welt and sole complete, and it only cost a little more then the local outfits, and they clinched all the nails so they didn't stab into the bottom of my foot...

the soles are fine, the arches are fine. the stitching came out around back the heels. its my fault, i never put any thing on them. i didn't expect them to last this long.....nor did i expect to have trouble getting another pair.

Well... I didn't expect this thread to go where it has, but it-is-what-it-is...
A pair of boots ya' really like is like a woman that ya' find hard to give up... you'll do (near) what ever it takes to make the comfort last.
But... unfortunately, at some point... reality sets in.
