I added a new member to the Bobcat family Saturday. After a tough battle with myself on what to get new/used, root grapple/industrial grapple, I came to a decission and bought one. I found some new grapples in a RV trader for 2000.00 Friday so I went and looked at it, I offered the guy 1500.00 and he said no.(thats all I could really see spending) So I guess I go back and hit equipment auctions. Than my friend called and asked if I sealed the deal and I told him no. Than he offered to pay for part of it if I'd do a cleanup at a site for him. So Saturday I went and looked over the site and decided it would be beneficial for everyone involved. So I went and got her, my wife was pissed. But I spent the day Saturday taken out a tree that had overgrown between our two barns and made a chicken run for her and haven't heard much about it:clap: I put it to the test Monday at a fence row I was cleaning up for a farmer friend. This is why I can get free firewood anytime I want, and have been quite busy since January. Now if it will quit raining so I can get back to it!!!

No I bought it in Huntington IN. You possible could have seen the same one advertised being in Ohio, this guy is a equipment marketer and advertises all over. I found it in the Indiana auto and rv trader. Ohio has the same thing, I sneak over the state line now and then and grab one also, Ohio is a 15 min. drive from me.

Mucho handy attachment. Watch for the hydraulic lines, I have used some grapples where the lines aren't run in ideal spots. They like to get pinched in the arms when you curl the grapple. Otherwise, very handy for brushing out thickets also.

I've got close to around 300 hours on that exact machine, the 773. I think that is the best one Bobcat ever made. Sure, there is a couple a little bigger, but that is one sweet, powerful machine. The Kubota engines in those are almost bulletproof as well.

Yes they are a nice unit. They basically are the design Bobcat decided to use for all their machines from S175 and up. The verticle lift is nice vs. the radius lift. I have 960hrs. on mine and have never had a problem, other than poking the headlights out with branches, though thats a big reason I "wanted" ("needed" to the wife) to keep brush from scratching and general tear up of hte machine.

Way to go Gink! You will never regret it , guranteed. Very nice versatile attachment. I have to throw some pics up to compliment yours since Bobcat's are my thing. Here is my 72" grapple bucket and my log/brush grapple. I built both of them and the trailer. Again, congrats on the purchase, awesome. Never mind the long hairs in the logging pic, they were extras. lol.

Nice pics, looks like you did a nice job fabbing those grapples. Looks like that 763 can handle a load just fine. I haven't found anyhting yet that has upset mine, got a little tippsy and could hardly go in reverse without nose diving, but picked it up with no problems, my little boy loved it, watching me grab big piles of tree tops. I have those same ear muffs/radio on my controll lever in one of my pics!! Frank:cheers:
