Yesterday was a productive fiasco.

Headed up with the dumptruck, and noticed that things were getting a little sloppier in it's driveline.... Kinda bugged me a bit. Went to work cutting up 1/2 dead Douglas, and loaded the truck up real good. Discovered that the 460 wasn't revving up quite right... then found the filter plugged up. Cuts much nicer with a clean filter! :chainsaw:

Then grinding my way back out of the "pit" truck was getting worse.
I kept looking, and found out that my transfer case was on it's way to falling out of the truck. :censored: tightened the bolts up, and it is much better.
Since the rig is 34 years old, it is doin' pretty well considering ! :)

It is a start... now I need to do that every week, for the rest of the year, until I get snowed out of the hills. It might be enough wood.

I know I have 12 cord in a pile and maybe another 7-8 in the barn piled up, I only have about 5 cord split and stacked. I started great since jan. but I have been in a slump. I was hand splitting everything and intended to but I'm afraid my lazy butt won't get it done before some of it starts to rot. So I will go rent a splitter for a few days and get it done, I only used about 10 truck loads last year and burned mostly American and Red Elm, I have a lot better selection this year if it dries good enough. If not I have alot of elm still standing that is dry.
