A fellow just called me and said he had a tree he needs to be climbed," O.K. what do you need done or have in mind?" He laughs and said well, your not going to believe this I have a radio controlled air plane about 100 feet in a tree can you help, I have to meet him at 6:00 P.M. tomarrow. good PR and some cash. But this is a first.

Did that same thing about thirty years ago. Luckily had a neighbor that could climb about as good as a monkey. At several hundred yards your depth perception can be off just a wee bit.

He told me that i could just go up and cut a limb and let it drop, I said well its kind of defeting the perpose of getting it if if drop it from 100 feet don't you think? maybe your right.:buttkick:

I have done cats, never done a plane. Hey, maybe you could do both at once. Send in a plane to rescue a cat, or get a cat to fly out the plane!

Yes, I have had a bourbon.. :)

Its all good wish I'd restocked the bourbon. but the plane is safe a, it was about 90 feet in a popular covered in a forest of grape vines a pane in the a,, if all the vines, but I,m officaly the plane for this little club. we gave them all pens with the company name and phone number on it. they said that they have gone as far as cutting down trees to get the planes back.

This is a hilarious post. I just had to rescue my own RC plane my wife decided to buy me since she didn't know what else to get me. It was kind of embarassing to ask my neighbor a half mile down the road if I could climb 80 ft. up his oak tree to get my airplane.......I got razzed a little bit for that one.

I got a call like that last week. Airplane in a tree, go up put a rope on it and send it down.
Called the guy a day later, Some one else got the gig. Oh well.

Ive crashed, um, landed several in trees when I flew RC.

Even if the plane is destroyed, the engine and electronics are worth getting back.

retrival is a nice gig, usually no cleanup but might be an opportunity to sell some pruning, deadwood removal while I am up there. ;)
