There is this myth going around where people say Dirko is fuel resistant and that somehow is some special silicone. It’s really not. It’s bog standard acetic cure silicone at an inflated price. Not fuel safe / fuel resistant by any stretch. Had a contact speak to Elring in Germany who confirmed this too. It’s good like many other silicones are good, but it’s nothing special.

Thanks Frank,, That's good to know..What will seal a leaking carb bowl when you can't find the exact gasket to replace it..?
i use a universal set of O rings on round bowls, and overstretch one onto something if they are too thick/too small, then wait for it to shrink down a bit
for non round bowls you could use the screen sealer and let the skin tack off before fitting

Good old fashioned Permatex No. 2 is gasoline resistant.

I've been saying that for years.
Using silicone on anything that has contact with petroleum products isn't a great idea.

I have used gasket silicone on several occasions and had no problems with it, but when I look at the tube it does say "oil resistant".
However when I search for "gasket sealer" or "gasket cement" they all seem to be fuel resistant.

I've used that Permatex Aviation sealer in the past and it is good stuff..
One caveat I should have mentioned: You don't want to use it with gasohol, for those who run gasohol in their saws. Isopropyl alcohol is what you remove it with, and I don't think it's resistant to ethanol, either. But it's fine with any kind of petroleum, anti-freeze, seawater, motor oil, ATF, etc. Service temp is -65 to 400°F continuous.

I've never seen a silicone product that is fuel resistant. And not from lack of looking.
If your looking for a product for base gasket deleting Loctite 510 is the best product you can use.

Hehe... I looked it up, the price gave me a really good and healthy laugh
