Son and I did truck and trailer full of silver maple rounds today(with some already cut branches on top) in 35 minutes. If I still was using my MS310 I have no doubt it would've taken at least twice the time. My MS460 wore a 20" bar. Overkill I know but it makes the work fun and, like I said, 35 minutes..... Just enough time to remind myself why I avoid cutting in Summer. Wood went to grandparents of my 11 year old daughter's friend. They appear to me to struggle every year to have enough wood and I've got this season and almost next covered.

Kudos for helping out like you do.

Good job helpin, I like silver maple actually burns hot and leaves a nice bed of coals. burns hotter and longer than siberian elm, or cottonwood. Imho, it seasons quicker than hackberry and burns hotter.
