Well boys . it,s been a good month of August . But the leaves are starting to turn here , and ya know what that means ....

.. Moose season opens in unit 13 . I,ll be flying in . Hope we kill 3 grizzles and at least 2 moose .... Saw a 50" plus tonight on the way home from a wood delivery ....... .He was a keeper . But he wasn,t too impressed when I stopped and was cow grunting at him when my cell phone went off ........ I don,t think Alaska Yukon Moose like cell phones myself .... Need to get the 375 Ruger Alaskan blooded .. And while I,m flying around I,m going to be looking for a good spot for a timber sale ....

You lucky guy . I can't wait for archery season to open here in Wisconsin. I would love to take a Bear and Moose out with my Bow. Good luck with the hunting season, stay safe.

Good luck Tramp! Wish I would have made it up to that country to do some moose hunting. Never hunted anywhere other than POW for Sitka Blacktail, which I really miss! Living in Montany now and hate seeing all of the hunters pour in here every year! I am starting to wonder if I will find a patch of ground to hunt on without running into some yayhoo. Guess I need to get some pack mules.

Need to kill some wolves !!

Just got in this afternoon . Awesome country , great weather , great friends to be with .. No bull moose . Saw cow moose with no calves and caribou with no calves and lots of grizzly and wolf poop from this summer with lots of moose and caribou calf hair in it ........... Still have more than 2 weeks so good chances still ............................ Sure do want a trophy bull moose !!!!
