I have one or two cords of what I know is some type of pine. I was wondering if anyone could ID for me.
The bark is very dark and knurled (like black cherry).
The bark looks like this pic, but the knurles are smaller and more regular. (I'll post a real pic later)
The wood is pink/reddish, but doesn't have the fragrance like cherry has.
I don't see any sap whatsoever. I didn't note any accumulations on my equipment.
I've been splitting it up and I can't see why I should toss it. It looks like good quality wood, unlike other species of evergreen which I have tossed over the wall to rot.
