Reaching out to avid chainsaw fans for some help in identifying a Mac saw. I recently acquired this saw and owner wasn’t able to help with ID. In fact he didn’t know it was a McCulloch.
I have searched Mikes page and google images but nothing jumps out to help in narrowing down.
The thinks I have noticed:
1. Chain guard is different to other 10 series saws I have.
2. Exhaust
3. There is no plate at carb. Carb is a Walbro SDC
4. Serial number underneath is A12 1975
5. There are no recesses in top cover for carb adjustments.
6. Top cover is black but model can’t be made out.
7. May or may not have had a chain brake?

if there is anyone out that may have a better idea I would appreciate.
Thanks from Australia - Jas

Its a 54cc pro mac 10-10 , with the brake flag and associated parts missing . Pre electric ignition. Looks to be an unpainted replacement cylinder .
And someone has welded a flap of steel over the muffler outlet! Probably in an effort to tame the wild tunes of the McCulloch.
Its the next generation of cylinder because it has the bosses for decomp but they weren't drilled for the 54cc saws.

Look on the bottom of the engine block for stamped numbers

Do you think clutch cover may have been replaced? I haven't seen 10-10 with that cover but have seen them on SP70 but then exhaust is different on the SP70? Im starting to think its a bitsa saw.
