:) Hi,

I am looking for a qualified arborist who would not mind taking time to tell me about my trees, what they are, their names and extended names, and provide me with a diagnosis that would help me learn how to care about them or/and recognise when they need more care by myself. I am located in the St-Louis region, Missouri. I am not sure arborists do this kind of job as I did not get any replies from arborists in my region.

What do you think?

Are you looking for this service for free?

 Hi! Thanks for the interest! Sorry for the name, but it was impossible to log in again under my yesterday name...I had to register again with a new name and a new email address because... there is no one to communicate with and the "machine" cannot understand meaningful stuff!

This said, the response to your question is NO. I will pay towards that service of course, but it must be reasonable.

I have arborists that do this similar work for me all the time. I am not an arborist, so when need be, I hire them out on a job specific basis. I use three different arborists a good bit, but they don't actually do any tree removal work, only identification and evaluation. You should be able to get someone to do it, I know everyone in the tree business has been busier this spring than usual though. Depends on what you feel is reasonable though. How big of a lot do you have?

Valerie/Belle, welcome to the site...both of you.

How far are you from the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis? They may have some excellent resources for you there. You may be able to identify what you have on your land by finding a like specimen there at the Gardens.

They also have excellent advise and help regarding regional specific disease and pest issues.

With that said, there are some qualified arborists in your area, I am surprised you are not getting any answers.

Sylvia
