about your chainsaw, what would it be? I know, goofy topic.

The one thing I would change about my DN361 is I would put a Husky kill switch on it. When I'm using my 346xp, I can flick the kill switch with a gloved hand without even glancing at it. The Stihl control takes both eyes and a concerted effort. It's kinda annoying sometimes.

Oh, and before the Husky diehards speak up, I already know that a 361 with husky controls is commonly called a 357xp...

I'd get an Easy button for all of them.......:) :)

.

I'd move the kill switch on my MS200's so I wasn't bumping it and cutting the saw off every time I made a move.

I'll play. I would change two things about my 5100 immediately. I would like it to return to idle quicker, and I want a second dog.

I'd also like a fatter handlebar on my 395's,and it feels like it would be better balanced if it were two inches forward....Same with my 385's for that matter.

I'd like the decomp on my Husky on top, where they are on my Stihls.

Thats only because if it isn't staring me in my big dumb face, I forget about it half the time.:taped:

I'll second putting 'real' controls on my Stihls. That 'all in one' is a royal PIA. I rate that with the new fuel/oil caps. Solutions to problems that didn't exist.

As to kill switches. I had a Homey 360 (back when they built real saws). The kill switch was a toggle, up-on, down-off and positioned so one flick of the middle finger shut it off, didn't even have to let up on the throttle and never had an inadvertant shutdown. Have had several saws since and none of them came close to the convenience/safety of that one.

Would be nice to have a 'holster' to hold my can of 'eversharp' so I wouldn't have to be chasing it down all the time.

I would like to have a compression release on the Dolmar 5100. As it is, there is no chance that my wife will ever be able to start the chainsaw. I find starting the chainsaw more effort than on any of our other five chainsaws.

technique is the key... nothing beats good ol' dropstart...

I hear that. My 346 is noticeably harder to pull than my 361.
