I'm gonna grab a beer and a chair, sit back and wait until you realise there's no money in it, losing your life savings, then I'm going to buy that truck off you for cents on the dollar. Only a matter of time.

The OP's photo reminded me of a neighbor man where I grew up in rural Virginia. He had a beater International pickup, or what was left of it, similar to that old Ford. The guy cut and split firewood in the back 40 behind his home. He'd load the bed with splits, drive it up to his backyard and toss the splits in a pile to sell.

I drove it back in the woods once, just for kicks. That International had no doors, no lights and no brakes. Both bumpers were mangled. Asked why the doors were gone, he said he'd slid sideways into a tree one year and squashed the driver's side door. Later he removed them both.

Knowing him I surmised he was probably three sheets to the wind when that happened. He liked his gin.

Most of the body was rotted out. The bench seat was gone, he'd bolted an old lawn buggy seat to a 5-gallon pail to sit on. All the glass was knocked out of the windows. No radiator, it didn't run long enough to heat up. But he drove that junker in and out of his woodlot for years. :)
