I'm about to have a new batch of invoices printed and was thinking of revamping the old one. Does anyone care to share what they use to help me generate some ideas?

Thanks

Mine are just a 3-part copy of the proposal/invoice I customized in Quickbooks. I used the message box to create a few disclaimers such as what to expect for wear and tear on lawns from the use of equipment, how deep we grind stumps, and a couple of other things.

If you don't use quickbooks, I'd look at some of the NEBS forms and see how they set up their invoice forms for service contractors. You can probably look at a sample form online and take that into a printing shop.

Disclaimers! That's a good idea - I usually just tell them verbally. Do you have them sign the invoice that they agree to the disclaimers and price etc?

Do you mind sharing your disclaimers?

Thanks

I am currently trying to rework our estimates and invoices. We currently don't have anything worth sharing or I would gladly give you a look.

(I guess you would call this a ME TOO! post)

I saw one the other day when I went for an estimate (another company was there before us) and it looked very interesting. There were boxes to be checked, things to be circled, areas to fill in numbers (quantities of things), description areas, all sorts of stuff. I want to do something like that. That way, if I send out one of our workers to do an estimate, some day in the future, they will know what to look for and will less likely forget something.

I guess if no one posts some examples, I will just have that company come to my house to give me an estimate for some tree work. HaHa.

I don't use it often, but the few times I want a contract, or the client requests a written estimate I use this. Use, adapt, customize or whatever you wish.

I'm interested in how the ones from Quickbooks looks, as I use Quickbooks, but hadn't thought about using it as a way of having triplicates printed. A good idea.
