Iron and Oak small leak

When in the vertical position, my Iron and Oak splitter drips hydraulic fluid from the large nut on the bottom of the valve. Can I just remove the nut and attempt to seal the leak? Thanks in advance!

If the leak is from under the hex shaped cap at the front of the valve it is probably a leaking o-ring.

Do I just get an o-ring the right size and replace under cap or more involved?

After looking the Prince LS-3000 valve there is no o-ring on the pressure relief. The large acorn nut just has a aluminum washer to seal the nut the manual says to tighten to 45 ft lbs.
