Hi,
This tree is probably around 50 years old. Largest Japanese Maple ife ever seen. Recently noticed tree limbs dying and a concerning ooze that looks like melted milk chocolate. Behind thr ooze, the wood is very soft. I can poke holes into it with a twig.

Is it infected? Saveable?
Seeing other limbs with splits forming.
