Is this muffler OEM?

And is this carbon buildup on the piston head normal?

What is this piece? The one circled is the unknown piece. I have one that goes to the oiler gear but idk where this one came from

Yes, OEM muffler. You'll find STIHL stamped into the underside. Crude buildup is likely to be from cheap oil. Mystery part is a mystery part, looks like a improvised throttle trigger pin.

I found the stamp on the muffler and yup it’s the trigger throttle pin!

Driver - I think you’re right looks like somebody fixed the threading at some time

I didn’t put cheap oil in it I swear!
Is this really bad? Do I need to take it all apart and get this fixed?

I wouldn't worry about that dirty piston top. Just indicates a poor tune on the carb, cheap mix oil, bad gas, or a combination of these. I'd put good mix in it, tune it proper, and run the snot out of it! I bet once you get it warm it will smoke for a bit under load as it cleans itself out! Nothing to worry about at all!
