yes the trees have been stressed very tuff environment for planes hot dry as well cold with construction impact 9 out of 10 look poorly, it seems those trees with better access to open ground water have fared better.

Back story is told via these news report and tree report, tho i still think that Plane Tree Anthracnose could be partly, all or a correlation to environmental stress impacts.

http://www.northerndailyleader.com.au/story/3507969/poisoning-of-barraba-plane-trees-suspected/

TAMWORTH Regional Council is appealing to the community for help in finding those responsible for the suspected poisoning of about 30 trees in Barraba’s main street.

An environmental event severely impacted the health of the trees in spring last year but they have now largely recovered following an intense care regime developed with the advice of arborists and the support of Friends of Barraba Trees.

tree is buried in mulch,, no flare,

Yes there is poor landscape vs roots treatment that i suspect contribute to these trees stress and yes agree its not traditional visible symptoms of Anthracnose thats why im asking as unsure. Some leaves are thickened leathery to the touch with that discolored whitening chlorotic venation ??

It could be some combination of mineral deficiency PH and pollutant tho i dont have access to any soil trace tests??

Its a weird one with many unknowns and false or wonky leads.. The trees seem to be on the slow mend but knowing the cause would help...

I don't think so. Our Sycamores get Anthracnose bad here, already starting heavily on some trees & it doesn't look like that.
