Was passing though this NSW country town and asked about the main street Plane trees poor health condition.. i have a bit more diagnose detail but do these picture look like Plane Tree Anthracnose..??
yes the trees have been stressed very tuff environment for planes hot dry as well cold with construction impact 9 out of 10 look poorly, it seems those trees with better access to open ground water have fared better.
Back story is told via these news report and tree report, tho i still think that Plane Tree Anthracnose could be partly, all or a correlation to environmental stress impacts.

An environmental event severely impacted the health of the trees in spring last year but they have now largely recovered following an intense care regime developed with the advice of arborists and the support of Friends of Barraba Trees.
