1970 John Deere 350 track loader. Has 3 cyl. diesel motor, around 3000 hrs. it runs and digs strong but the left steering does not operate properly. It may be able to be adjusted but probaly needs to be fixed. This is the way I purchased it. I have always used reverse to to turn left. The right side has been rebuilt and works great. The motor is clean enouph to eat off of. It does not have ROPS. I only have used it on hunting property to open up trails. I paid $5,500.00 but would be happy to take$4,500.00
(914)423-7533 or PM me if interested or have any questions. The machine is located in Colombia county NY and would need to be picked up.

I apologize for not getting the pics in to fast . But there they are for the 2 members who had contacted me. I am neg. on the price.
Let me know.

Wolf 66;

Do you feel any resistance when you pull the steering lever. If you feel no resistance it coould be linkage. Does it load the motor when you pull the lever or just fails to drive or release that track. There is both a clutch and a brake on each side and have to be properly adjusted to work together. Send me a PM. I'd need mor symptoms to diagnose.

How much does that thing weigh? Roundabout anyhow? What else might it need in the near future?

Hhmmmm can't haul that with my trailer!
Wolf I may have someone interested in that though.

Tod, if you have a good 3/4 or better pickup with a big motor and fifth wheel capable as well as a good trailer ( I know you said you don't have a big trailer) then you should pull it fine. I've seen guys around here ( two of them) pulling JD450C's with their Duramax's and they weigh 14,400lbs!!!

I think its the weight is arond 10,000 lbs. There is resistance when you pull the lever. But thr right side steering is all new and the left side is original. There are no cleats on the pads, but I never even came close to getting it stuck. It does not burn oil or anything like that. The machine is tight and always was maintained well. I used my F-450 to tow it up there with a borowed 9 ton trailer and it had no problem pulling or stopping.
I am also going to be putting my1987 Case 780 Backhoe up for sale. It has a 6 cyl. turbo diesel, 4 and 1 bucket, full cab, but is 2WD. On my property I need 4WD. What I really want is a JD 450 or 555 track loader with a backhoe on it. My 350 is to small to mount a backhoe to it. If not that then a bigger track loader with a 4 and 1 bucket. If anyone has or knows anyone with something like that I would be willing to make a trade. I also have my towbehind stump grinder and my W/C 17 that can be offered for trade. I have about 13,000.00 into the backhoe and would need to get close to that if I sell for cash.

Sorry, missed a few questions. The motor is not affected when you pull on the left lever. I do not see any problems in the future as far as mechanical. If you want to put cleats on the pads, they can be welded on easly enouph but I never had a problem they way they are. Besides changing the fluids, I only put on a new fan belt. The machine always worked well for me. As I stated in the previous reply, I want a larger one with a backhoe attachment and would be willing to trade the 350 + my 1987 Case 780 backhoe for the right machine. There is a Case 850 D track loader with a backhoe on it that I saw on ebay. Something like that would be perfect. My backhoe is 2WD and gets stuck in the mud all the time. I have been using the 350 to pull it out, but need either a 4WD backhoe or a track loader with a backhoe.
