john deere model 19

Can anyone give me any info on this saw. My brother in law asked me to get it going. I'm guessing its late 60s because it has a manual oiler. On one web site I did find out it was made by remington and is 4.0 cu in. It has a tillotson carb and with a little cleaning I think its going to look mint. Any info much appreciated.

Model 19 was made using the PL-5 chassis......

Honkie was correct. The Deere 19, is just a Remington PL-5 saw wearing green and yellow paint. All of the parts are easy to find and it will make a great(occassional) firewood saw. At 65cc, it has plenty of jam, although pretty loud. A standard Tillotson RK 23 HS carb kit will do the trick for you.
Post some pics when you get it cleaned up.
