I know a gentleman that is moving back East and he has a 111 Jonsered, he asked me if I was interested in it. I don't need it nor do I have a use for it. So this is my reason for posting it here on this forum, if anyone here on AS wants it or is interested in it send me a PM. All I know at present is it is 111 Jonsered PUO (no bar & chain), I don't know the condition of saw, but I will check it out thoroughly and send my report to any interested party. As I stated, I don't own the saw I only know about it, that is why I am posting here instead of the Trading Post![/

does it look like this ?

Damn I don't think the exterior looks that good belgian, your 111 looks super for a chainsaw of that vintage! You folks on the other side of the Big Pond take great care of your saws, or they are not used as much as we use them over here.
I will check it out and report back with my prognosis.

So belgian, what is the difference in the 111 and the 111 super. Need a history lesson on the saws themselves please.
All i know is whats on Acres site and that people used to race them. So enlighten me .

Good question. I asked the same question in the swedisch collector forum, no replies so far. I want to know, though.

I was lucky to lay my hands on a jonsered 111S this week. So I have both the 111 and the 111S, BUT I can not find any significant changes. The IPL that came with the 111S did not shed any light either about the differences. IF there's a difference, I think it should be in the CC's, but I am not sure at all.

here's pic of the 111S with a 24" original bar. A perfect runner.
