Jonsered 2152 Muffler

Hi,

After lurking for some time, I finally broke down and registered. Question:

I recently purchased a Jonsered 2152, and realized that it has the dreaded green gas cap. I'd like to get rid of the muffler with the catalytic converter, and am searching for a source for a non-cat one. Does anyone know where you can order one? Also, is it difficult to swap out mufflers.

I also have an older Husky 350 with a muffer on it, p/n 503862301. Would this fit on the 2152, and would there be any value in swapping them before I sell the 350?

My goal is to have a cooler, longer running saw.

I am fairly sure it will fit,my concern would be that the cat muffler runs so hot
it might melt the crankcase of that 350 "plasisaw".I also have a 2152c and just aquired a perfect non cat muffler for $10.00 BIG Difference! Find a saw shop ,Husky or Jonsered and scrounge thru the boneyard,thats where I find most of my parts.

No number on the muffler but the P/N should bo 503 86 28 02 or 04

This is a VERY good point! I definitely would not recommend putting a cat muffler on any of the plastic saws.

The part number for the muffler you want is, 503862803. The list price is 32.91.

My IPL lists the "02" muffler as the E-tech, (CAT) one.

Should be available from any Husky or Jonsered dealer. Same part number for either brand.
