So, I recently purchased a Jonsered 600+ mill that came with a Jonsered 2095 with no compression. I now have all the parts that I need to completely rebuild the 2095 but I don't have any of the torque specifications for it. I was told that 'tight with a T handle' was the appropriate torque for the case and cylinder but figured that to be on the safe side I should see what other people have to say on the matter. I'd like to make sure that this thing is rebuilt right. In the meantime my old Stihl 076 is providing the power but the fit in the Jonsered carriage isn't the greatest. I'm looking forwards to using the 2095!

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you, Ben

Ben,

Don't worry too much about and actual torque spec, but its is 10-12nM if you really wanted to know for the cylinder the case is less 7-9nm.

So 7-9 ft-lbs, and 5-6ft-lbs not very tight.
Check you 600 mill out for any worn or missing parts as getting spares here in Canada is now very limited.

Happy Milling

Thank you, that was fast!

I went over the mill with a fine tooth comb when I brought it home and cleaned it all up. There was virtually nothing wrong with the mill except for one of the vibration dampeners was missing a nut. It's got a new paint job now and has been happily turning out Tamarak boards with my old 076 providing the power.

Do you know of anywhere in Canada that you can get parts for it? The log clamping device on it works great but there is only one, two would be wonderful. Also, another base section would be fabulous. Worse case scenario I'll get the guys in our welding shop to make me another one.

I will see if any Husqvarna warehouses still have any stock, and will check with a few dealers I know south of the border, but will be much cheaper to unleash the lads at work on it.
