got a jonsered 625 series 2 94 model today as part payment on a job its basically new ive never used a jonsered b4 are they any good?????????????

This model is basically the same as Husqvarna model 61...one of Husky's famous workhorses, remained in the line-up for years. This basic design is still around, having been modernized a little, as such models as Husky 365 and 372, Jonsered 2165, 2171.

Solid and dependable; I imagine service parts will remain available for quite a long time yet too.

I happen to have a model 2 sizes up from the 625, mines a 670 model or the Husky 266. I like it a lot, the 625 is built on a similar if not identical chassis as the 670, but I do know that mine is reliable and powerful at full throttle, plus the antivibration system isnt bad either, just make sure not to pull the saw if it gets stuck in a cut, if you do pull it you'll almost certainly break an av buffer or two on the saw.
To sum it up, really nice saws and pretty tough when you need them to be. my only complaint is that it uses a lot of gas and has one piston ring instead of two in the engine, I'd rather have two, its just my preference in a saw. I think my 670 is a 2nd generation model, I'm including a picture of the saw to give an idea of the era of manufacture.
