Well, shucks, I love this saw, but the truth is, I'm not really a "collector".
I found this 630 Westy, seems as if someone had bought it, ran straight gas through it and killed it in the first tank.
There's still the black paint on the handle bar.
It is no longer dead, I've built it with a 52mm (72cc) Meteor jug & piston, the exhaust port is opened up a hair and polished.
New coil (both elements), seals (of course), plug, fuel line/filters including the brand new K&N.
A pretty full job of, if not restoration, modification. I've more than $500 into in parts and hulk alone, make an offer?
It performs like, well, wie eine Fledermaus aus der Hölle. (The translation into Swedish is not as poetic).
The funky being that when it was killed it got hot enough to mess up the rare & original carb cover, a melted spot from the plug. It also doesn't fit just right.
Of course there's folks that know what these are, they're certainly super cool old classics.
Reckon it's easiest to sell/ship without a bar or chain, though I've got those too.
