This saw is crapping out after running for a bit. Anyones use this style of coil to replace the original which has the secondary coil

No I've never seen these before. Might work on the early 70E. It would have to be the proper diameter to run the correct air gap inside the 70E flywheel and the spark plug wire loos kinda short. Might find someone who has any of the listed saws it claims to fit to compare height and diameter of their original module/coil. Be nice to have one in hand to compare before springing $90.00

Yeah I have a coil for a 2100 kicking around. The saw is at my dads right now so I will be able to see if it fits. Idk if the coil I have is any good to test for spark though

Generally the module fails on the 70E rather than the coil but when it fails it’s done usually doesn’t act funny or anything it just stops. Are you certain you have a good solid electrical connection between the recoil cover and case?

Not sure what all happened exactly as my dad was running it. I talked to him about it today he said it just stopped and wouldn’t restart

I would be interested also. Have a nice older generation 70e that I hate to use too much incase of module dying.

I agree with Cantdog, I'd hold off on paying that sorta money for Chinese stuff until you've had a chance to diagnose the issue deeper.
