I looked at a 621 today. Runs well. A bit rich at the moment but seems like simple tuning and still cut well, starts, revs and idles well.

He's asking $250. I think it's quite high but wanted others opinions about the saw. What would you pay and if this could still be a good farm saw with occasional use?Screenshot_20210315-133411_Facebook.jpgScreenshot_20210315-133404_Facebook.jpg

Not a bad looking 621 and judging by the paint loss on the trigger handle, it's been held in loving hands for a considerable amount of hours. The 621 is about as bullet proof saw as was ever built......they generally get crushed long before they wear out. There are many of these old saws still in service. That's the good stuff......the bad stuff is you cannot buy any new parts except a spark plug and recoil spring from any dealers. These don't bring a very high price due to the amount of them out there and the fact service is non existent. IMHO $250.00 is way over the top price wise for a local sale.......maybe on ebay but even then not for sure. I would say $100.00 to perhaps $150.00 if you are really determined to own it......likely a good saw but over priced....

That was what I thought but wanted some opinions. He is figuring $135 for a new bar and chain on it and I think is just adding the price to the saw's value. I told him I would be somewhere in the $100-150 range as long as the piston looked good and he didn't seem even remotely interested.
