I think I am retiring the 28" bar for my 670 because this 32" bar on my 920 is PERFECT. I picked the combo up from Saw King on eBay and love it. This is my first year cutting frozen wood and sharpening the skip chain is much easier, plus it clears those five inch curly fries quite nicely. Just though I would share my joy. Nothing like ripping with a 20 year old saw :blob6: :D

What variety of wood are you cutting? Does the skip tooth cause high vibration in hardwood?

Skip tooth has never gained even a foothold in popularity here in Oak and Ash country. But, then neither has 32 inch bars.

It wasnt really hardwood, it was frozen cottonwood (popple) and there was no vibration

I havent tried it out in oak yet, havent found a big one yet:eek:

I hit something small in the log and had to sharpen the chain, and not having all those teeth was nice

Huskyman...I run a 37" Sandvik Chrome bar on one of my Super 930's, and I run skip too....I only bring the saw out when we go to Grandma's house though...when we do the firewood for her each year, it is a logging truck load with the wrappers still on it...so you can reach in and buck off a large swath each time with the long bar...
