Just won this on ebay kind of by accident. I meant to hit 400 as my top price but my brain disconnected from my fingers and ended up with it. i been wanting an early 066 for a while, I have no interest in a 660 (unless the price is right).

Anyone see any red flags in the pics? Something is telling me this might be a rebadged 064, but I might be wrong.

:hmm3grin2orange:brain disconnected ,you get that too, congrats on the saw

LOL, yeah, it happens sometimes. Guess I need to dust off the stihl tools and get ready to dive in again, its been a while.

I was expecting to see a $4000 not $450. I have seen it done before on some saws and the price just keeps rising while someone messed up.

Good looking saw from the picture. I think you did OK on it.

Lol, I was watchin the count down on that saw and then you sniped it. It was missing a dog and looked pretty rough though. Thanks you save me alot of money! :greenchainsaw:

Looks like an early 066 to me but it's always hard to tell by the pics.

Here is a link that might help.
Halfway down Jacob J. gives some cosmetic differences that might help you figure it out.

is that a red light model? kind of looks like it has the light over the carb adjustments. nice

well when you get it , it will be easy to determine . i dont think its a red light . the easiest way i know of to tell is the oil pump. the 064 has a rubber line on it and the 066 has a steel line on it .

personally i loved my 064 wished now i still had it . i did a dumb move and traded it off.
good luck i hope you get what you wanted
