Well I,m happy now exam was 4 weeks ago results today says passed.
FAQs
Why?
I did it for myself 30 years of work and many qualifications in Arb, Hort, Landscape and even Turf, up to University's Diploma level as I always enjoy learning.
How hard?
I reckon without study I may have just passed. The study was good and the journey was very worth while. 200 multi choice 50% easy 25% hard 25% real hard so got to know your stuff.
Benefits.
None really to me just a learning challenge I may now consider the next steps in program.

Note I used the Old "now they tell me" black ISA study book and audio CDs. At last moment was told new 2010 color study book is base of test paper.
Saw only a few Q that where not quite in old book.

Good work.

There are no BCMAs in Victoria; what about the rest of oz?

And that is where I stand also. If I had only looked at the certification with the attitude of "what can it do for me", I would never have gone for the CA let alone the BCMA.

As Bermie said, learning never stops.

Good for you and keep going!!

Thanks all, unsure about any BCMAs or Cert Municipal Arbs down here I reckon likely. Perhaps I can aim to next year as I think ISA international conference is in Sydney OZ July 2011 so can do the exam with a few fellows.

I may apply for SMA Arb swap program, to get an offer over next few years the Cert Arb+ will help.

Way to go! I'm glad I got mine as well. It helps in the work and answering client's questions.

Congratulation. I just got mine in 2007 after many years in the buisness. The test isn't really that hard, but it kind of nice to have that little card in your wallet to suppurate us from the hacks.(Not that you need a ISA cert. to be knowledgeable about trees) Never stop learning and studying. I started taking college classes for my CEUs, now at 52 Im a full time student. Again Congratulations. Beast.
