Kernmantle Flipline?

Does anyone use kermantle rope for a flip line? Seems like it would hold up to some serious abuse but don't know how my rope grab would work on it or whether a hitch would work as an adjuster. Also, will it hold a fisherman's loop knot? Would appreciate any input.

like a work positioning lanyard? I have the Teufelberger and it works great but you do need to make sure you set the knot when you go to put weight on it. Which you should do anyway

I looked up the Teufelberger and it looks like kernmantle but the description didn't specify. It is 11mm and I have access to some 1/2" which would be better for my applications. What hitch do you use on it as an adjuster?
