Lame 066/660 question. Its seems that 066 and 660 saws have
more of a clear tank than other models of Stihl saws. Why?
Its easier to see how much fuel is in the tank, I like it.

I know :sucks:

The saws I have 200t,260,361,460,066 and 660 have the clear type tank
but my 066 and 660 are more see through than the others. I know that
the older saws have the non-see through tank. I have a older 026 and 064
with the solid color tanks

It's hard to see through the 440/460 tanks, unless the light is hitting it just right.I like the gas tank on the 660.

Timberhauler, Exactly

The 066 saws you can even tell the color of the fuel. I have seen a few 026 saw that were easy to see through also. I don't know if they had
to change the type of plastic for the new style of caps

I have a fairly new MS210,and you can't even see the fuel level in that saw.I also have a 026 that was bought right before the "MS" change over and you can't tell how much gas is in that one either. It's really annoying when you're up in a tree making one last cut and run out of gas..I wish they were all like the 660.

I'm not up in the trees, but it sure is nice to see the fuel level,
it really comes in handy when milling.
